Holiday Greetings from the Williams Family

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! We hope that 2002 has been a good year for you. For us it has been good.

In 23 years of marriage this is our first attempt at a Christmas letter. Here is a brief update on the Williams family.

Abbe, who celebrated her 22nd birthday in September, is in her fourth year at Georgia State University. She is in the nursing program. Unfortunately, for Abbe, the nursing program requires five years of college. She will graduate in May 2004. Just three more semesters.

In nursing school this past semester Abbe had class on Thursday and Friday and clinicals at the hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday. The clinicals were sometimes good and sometimes boring.

James continues to work. The band Outsight disbanded during the summer. James played the guitar in the band, and they had played for several years. However, a couple of the guys, including the drummer, felt it was time to invest in other pursuits.

In early December James turned 21. He plans to move to San Antonio in early 2003. He has friends there from church camp. I am sure that he would appreciate your prayer support as he prepares to leave the nest.

Cathe and I are blessed, that as adults our children still desire to honor God.

Cathe still works for Cornerstone Medical, Inc. She works in the marketing department, and she spends time every day as Cornerstone's representative at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is a great blessing to the company, and she is on time most every day.

She will forever be the "better half" of this marriage. She is still beautiful, personable, and a very devoted wife and mother.

Cathe's mom is now 91. She has been doing well with the exception of some bouts with congestive heart failure. We did not think she would ever visit us in Atlanta again, but in September she rode up from New Orleans with her son and daughter-in-law (Mike and Mickie), who were in town on business. She stayed with us a few days, but unfortunately, the day she was to return home, she had a bout of the congestive heart failure. She stayed in the hospital a few days, then Cathe flew with her back to New Orleans.

I turned Fifty in July I was actually depressed for a couple of days, but it didn't take long to get over it.

Since February 2002 I have worked as the accounting manager of SecureWorks, Inc. When I started SecureWorks was a "start up" company and had no customers. The development team was still testing the service. Now it is exciting to see the company really take off. 2002 has been an exciting year, and 2003 looks very bright.

My parents are still going strong in Clearwater, Florida. Mom is working part-time. My dad is very active at their church. He volunteers his time for many projects.

Joanne, my sister, Tom and Michael are still in Clearwater as well. Matt will graduate from UAB Dental School on June 7, 2003. We are all looking forward to that celebration.

David, my brother, continues to live in New York City. He works many hours each week. His church, The Brooklyn Tabernacle , moved into their new building. It is magnificent. David sings in the choir, which has won four Grammys.

My family went to New York City for Thanksgiving in 2001. I had so much fun that I returned in April and in October. Cathe and I plan to return there in the spring to celebrate her 50th birthday, which is this Christmas Day.

Mom's Uncle David is 96. For years many of his nieces and nephews plan dinner at his home for Thanksgiving. Cathe and I were able to attend this year.

We traveled to New Orleans on Memorial Day weekend. On that Sunday I drove up to Pike County, Mississippi, and attended Bala Chitto Baptist Church. I was their pastor from Mother's Day 1976 to Mother's Day 1979. I had not been in the building in 23 years. It was good to see people that I had not seen in more than 20 years.

May everyone have a great 2003. May the truth of Psalm 65:11 become even a greater reality to you. You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

May your life be filled with God's bounty and abundance in 2003.

Wayne, Cathe, Abbe and James
